E - Extraversion -
(Outer world of people and external events)
- attuned to external environment
- prefer to communicate by talking
- learn best through doing or discussing
- breadth of interests
- tend to speak first, reflect later
- sociable and expressive
- take initiative in work and relationships
- find listening more difficult than talking
- like going to parties and prefer to talk with many people instead of a few
- you are energized by being with people, things, etc. in the outer world
I - Introversion -
(Inner world of ideas and experiences)
- drawn to their inner worlds
- prefer to communicate by writing
- learn best by reflection, mental "practice"
- depth of interests
- tend to reflect before acting or speaking
- private and contained
- focus readily
- are perceived as a "good listener" but feel that others take advantage of you
- like to share special occasions with just one person or perhaps a few close friends
- after spending time in the outer world you may need time by yourself to re-energize
